It was a new town in the green belt in the 1960's (this photo was taken by Dad in 1961) and the aspirations were clear and quite quaint when you look back now. A couple of my friends have continued to live in the area and probably don't ..... still living in lyne way. we lived in sacombe road and i went to fields end school,now a housing estate.my dad worked at the coop dairy near the hospital. if anyone knows of oter people that went to fields end or worked at the dairy ...
